Brady's First Christmas

Christmas is here and gone already, it's hard to believe. It was very busy for us, we put on a lot of mile, ate alot of good food and now we are glad to be home for a rest. Sorry to everyone that we weren't able to stop and visit with while we were were home, there just wasn't enought time. We spent Christmas Eve day at Becky's and Cindy made us a wonderful meal. Marco, Uncle Pat, Aunt Jackie, Zac, Brad and Brittney were there for dinner too. That day Brady got to meet Troy, Stacey, Jenna and Avery Turner...sorry, Hayleigh and Emily, you girls have some more competition. Also, he got to meet his Uncle B.J. and his new girlfriend Gina and Steve & Kelly LaMarsh. That night we made a quick stop at Lloyd's and then we were off to Uncle Gary & Aunt Teresa's where they got to meet Brady along with cousins Lindsay and Kristie too. We spent the night at Diane & Greg's and then we got up and went to my Grandma's for our traditional Christmas breakfast. Then we went to my parent's house next and opened presents. My Dad use to buy all of his nephews a Tonka truck for Christmas and it's been a while since he's been able to buy for little ones. This year he got to buy Tonka's for three little ones; Brady, and his Great Nephews Keegan and Trey; see pictures of all three of them sitting in their new trucks. We had dinner with the Downie's on Christmas night at Uncle Ron and Aunt Fran's house. Great Grandpa got his picture taken with two little Santa's on his knee - Brady & Trey. Boxing Day we went to my Grandma's for lupper (not lunch, but not supper) and opened gifts there. As usual Grandma made enough food for an army. Then we were off to Aunt Margo's for a visit and then we came home that night so we could sleep in our own beds. Brady got spoiled by everyone, he got so much stuff that we could only bring half of it home with us. I guess that gives my parents an excuse to come and visit us...hint, hint. I guess Christmas too it's toll on Brady because our first day back home, he let us all sleep in and he spent most of the day napping.

Brady's New Bestfriend

Last night Brady and I went to visit Auntie Melissa, Tanya and Olivia for a little Christmas get together. Olivia is 3 years old and Brady is 3 months old, she told me that she wants to be Brady's bestfriend. She also told me all about her new kitty Journey, she is black on top and white on the bottom.

Trip to Mount Hope

On Sunday, we went to Mount Hope to visit Auntie Betty and Uncle Ed so they could meet Brady. Auntie Betty knitted Brady a beautiful navy sweater, hat and mitts. It was great to see them both again and we can't wait to go back again soon.

Girlfriends?

Brent, Christa, Emily and Hayleigh came to visit us recently, they hadn't seen Brady since he was only a couple of days old. The girls liked playing with Brady and his new toys. I think he has himself two new girlfriends as he had plenty of smiles for them.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

We had a nice quiet celebration for Brad's birthday this year. It was just the three of us with pizza, garlic bread and a huge chocolate cake...all of Brad's favorite foods. I'm sure Brady will enjoy the chocolate cake next year.

Brady with Santa & Mrs. Claus

We didn't make it to Bothwell's Santa Claus Parade on Dec. 1st, as it was too windy that night to take him out but he did get to meet Santa. Brady is now famous, he made the front page of the Spirit of Bothwell (newspaper).

Welcome Baby Keegan

Brady has a new baby cousin, Keegan Wayne Jeffery. He was born Nov. 8/06 (hopefully, I have the date right), weighing 8 lbs 2 oz and he was 21 inches long. Proud new parents are Steve and Jen. Steve has kinda been like a little brother to me and now our sons get to grow up together. There are only 7 weeks between the two of them but Brady looks like a giant next to Keegan.

Who does Brady look like?

Who does Brady look like, that is the million dollar question? A lot of people think he looks more like Brad, others say he has my eyes or smile or chin. Since he was born, I could see both of us in him and Brad thought he looked more like him than me. Now we have baby pictures of both us and you can decide for yourself.

OUR BLOG IS FIXED!

Our blog has been fixed, in case you wondered why we haven't updated it in awhile....go figure, it was an easy fix too. Santa came early for Brad & I, we decided to get a ditigal SLR camera rather than exchange gifts, it's something we've both wanted for awhile now. We'll be able to save a lot of money in film and update our blog much sooner. Here are a few pictures as we learn to play with the new camera.
