Trip to the Zoo

On Saturday, we took a trip to the Brantford Twin Valley Zoo. It's a great little zoo and I think Brad & I had more fun than Brady. We watch their show and Brady & I got to pet a snake and a bearded dragon. We got to see a baby lion cub, a 3 week old baby wolf, lots of different monkeys, lots of big cats, bears, wolves, a camel, deer, reindeer, lamas, zebras, goats and different birds. I think our favourite were the black bears, Brad was throwing them peanuts and they were trying to catch them with in their mouth or with their paws. We will definitely go back to the zoo, they have a good variety of animals, it's close, they have a picnic area and a little playground.

Eight Months Old

Brady was eight months old on Monday. He is crawling up everything now, like the stairs or his stroller. He got a little upset when he couldn't get down himself or climb any higher on his stroller. He is pulling himself up on everything and is even trying to stand on his own. His two bottom teeth are there under the gums, we can see the whites of them but unfortunately, they have not broke through yet. And he is starting to make strange with people, if Brad & I aren't there.

Last weekend, we had a busy Mother's Day weekend. On Friday, my Mom came up and Brady & I took her out for dinner. Saturday morning, Mom & I went hunting for bargins at the Ayr town wide yard sales. That afternoon Brady & I went to Burlington to my cousin's gymnastic's competition and then we went to Grimsby to Joelle & Andrew's where Diane made her famous homemade meatballs and spaghetti. On Sunday, Brad planned on taking me to play mini golf or drive the go-karts but Brady fell asleep on the drive so we picked up supper and had a picnic. I got my gift a day early, Brad thought Mother's Day was on the 12th...it didn't matter to me, atleast he remembered. My son, got me a gift certificate for the spa...I can't wait to use it.

This past long weekend we were busy visiting our families and friends. Brady got to see Uncle Joe's race car while it was being worked on and he really wanted to get in there and get his hands dirty. He loved the sound of the race car when it started up, his eyes lit up. Brady & I got to see Amy & Kaitlyn. We did dinner with my parents and Brady got to got to a hotel for his first time...it's a hotel/restaurant. On Sunday, we had a baby shower for cousin ChiHoung and then a family BBQ for the Field side. Brady enjoyed playing with all of his cousins.

Does Brad & Brady look comfy? They like to have afternoon naps on the deck swing. And the last picture is of Oring, our cat. He likes to get up on the roof of our house and sit in this second storey window. He must do it all the time because none of the neighbours passing by that day seemed to noticed.

Baby Kaitlyn

Here's baby Kaitlyn, Amy & Greg's new baby girl, she is so adorable and small...it's hard for me to remember Brady being almost that small and he's only 7 months old. Kaitlyn looks like her daddy!

Brady is crawling everywhere, the time to baby proof our house is here. He still hasn't figured out how to back up when crawling so when he gets himself cornered he lets us know he needs our help. He is also trying to pull himself up on everything. He sometimes forgets that he doesn't know how to stand or walk on his own yet. Today he let go of the ottoman, turned and tried to walk away, unfortunately, he did a face plant...luckily for me, there were no tears.

He is also teething, so he's not the happiest camper right now. Brad has seen the tooth but I haven't. The tooth is playing the up & down game. I just hope this teething stage passes quickly, he's not sleeping well or eating as much as usual. Brady loves the outdoors, going for walks and we've discovered that he doesn't like the grass. In the one picture, he is climbing on Brad to get off the grass.
